These few days...

My daughter is back to playing with her toes!!! She seems to having a whale of a time catching both her feet n rolling about on the bed... n that's not the only thing she's playing with these days... dunno when it started, she really likes to put her fingers deep into her mouth till she gags!!!!!!!! Goodness. Even though we've scolded n beat her hands, she still does it n she even thinnks its funny!!!

How to get her to stop doing it? Or is this juz a phase?

And these days she's rejecting her bedtime milk, even this morning I had to spend some time coaxing her to drink her milk which she finally did (finished all 8oz)... but once a day is not enuff, cos she even rejecting her 3.00pm milk....

HOW??????? Maybe I'll whip out the Barney water bottle, see if it works.

My Thoughts

The other day at Seiyu's (Bugis Junction) nursery room, I saw a very well groomed / dressed lady strolling in with a baby boy in pram with a maid in tow. She stopped juz right infront of me, sat down n started cooing to her boy. Her maid was bz preparing his milk feed. N when she finished, I thought she was gonna pass it to the lady, but no, the maid carried the boy out of the pram, sat him on his lap n gave him the bottle while the mother looked on.

Manz... she was so well dressed n groomed, it made me want to sink n hide away. Unlike the scruffy me, with untidy pony tail, jeans n a tee, plus a shoe that u can almost say 'bye' to..... infact I felt rather small... BUT!!!! suddenly someone invisible juz SMACKED me on the head!!! Hey, nevermind the obasan me, I am a lady who's capable of taking care of her own kid, I don't have to rely on any helpers, I can go anyway I like, and I'm not afraid of anyone playing me out. I am proud of my own small little achivement.... I have the good fortune to be able to raise my own daughter, n a hubby who supports the idea of me being a SAHM.

This is indeed a blessing.....

Nevermind the facials, massages, travels etc that I miss so much.... it can wait till the kids are older.

I feel bad for Meia

.... y? cos she has such a lousy mama who scolds her n let her cry her heart out when she refuses to nap on the bed.... I feel she deserves a better mom than me..................

Fall

Dunno how Meia slept last nite, guess too much tossing n turning on her part n she landed up on the floor crying at 3.30am. I quickly woke up n carried her. Lucky the bed is on the floor, so the fall isn't hard... guess she was scared. Soon within a minute she was asleep, or as I thought.... maybe half asleep, n she said 'BA' (meaning Barney) n let out a short giggle.... oh me oh my... I couldn't help but laughed silently. See sleep also think of Barney... hb always say

My Friend Betty

To me, having a couple of good friends is juz enuff for me... I don't need a big group of friends to cheer me up, I juz need a couple of whom I can really trust n rely on, n know that they'll stand by me when I need them....

I guess wanna dedicate this post to my very best gf Betty, who has juz given birth to a very beautiful baby boy. Glad to have known u, n that we've been in keeping in touch for so long. U are juz like family to me. I'm juz thankful to have u as my friend for life.

Super Nanny

Last night was my first time catching Super Nanny on TV, n me or my I'm juz so IMPRESSED!!!!!!! Well, I'll be getting her second book 'What Every Parent should know' later....

Y is my daughter so notti

Y is Meia so naughty these days???? I know she's having a runny nose at the moment, but that's almost dried up n she's on the road to recovery.... for those who've seen her n think she's the most demure gal on earth, well, u're absolutely wrong. Y do I've the time to blog this? That's because I'm leaving her downstairs with my sister in law n my niece. Y? Cos she juz threw a tantrum, big time, n this is not the first these past few days... already having a sick kid drains me, now she's absolutely naughty to the CORE and throwing her tantrums!!! She's really testing me, trying to push her luck.... I'm so angry wif her!!!!!!! (yet I can't stay angry with her for long... guess all moms know how I feel). Well, this is my little time out!!!

She's one tough cookie I tell u, its so hard to 'break' her... for example , when she cries, normally kids will juz cry, stop, get tried n go sleep.... Meia.... sad to say, will BAWL her lungs out!!!!!!!!!! she really has a good stamina... I think she make a good singer in the future....

Straw

Meia surprised me on my birthday... hahaha she finally know how to use the STRAW!!!!!!! Wahahaha kindda late hor... anyway, I bought her a Barney water bottle today. Hahaha.

Runny nose

Meia's down with a runny nose.... infact, its a very runny one :( n she's rejecting to zzz on the bed again........ *sigh*

My Birthday

Yes, its my birthday today.... *sigh* 33 liao................................. n I bought myself a birthday cake today.... n today being my special day, I treated Meia to all the kiddy rides in J8!!! Needless to say, she had a Blast!!!

The wonders of Barney

Okie, kudos to the Big purple dino again... this big guy really work wonders on my little gal. Whenever Meia gets cranky (refuses bath or makan) all I've to say is BARNEY leh.... n *poof* she willingly does everything I say.... she even says 'Ba' in her dreams!!!!!!!!

Sacrifice?

Recently someone asked me if staying home to look after Meia was a Big Sacrifice.... well, my answer to her... No, I don't see it as a sacrifice, infact I feel it is more a joy than a sacrifice. Yes, I may not enjoy perks like bonuses, leaves etc like other working moms, but I do get to witness Meia's many firsts, her developments, her first words, her first steps.

And do I have personal time??? My answer to her : -

Yes, 10 mins in the bathroom n when meia's asleep at night, but I'm usually so tired, I fall asleep hahaha...

But nevermind those... coz....

I've never looked back in regret, my decision to stay home n care for my kid/s. Cos to me, FAMILY tops my list.
