U'll be surprised at how fast a rate ur todd is learning everyday. Lately, Meia has the habit of going into the ballhouse to play with the balls, n when I told her, ' give mommy the yellow balls, she'll pass them all to me' I was so surprised!!! My next is to teach her the colours blue n red.

Treasuring my kids

I was reading this from Jean's blog, the Maxwell Family Blog n it brought tears to my eyes as I can feel the pain on the loss of their little baby gal.

It is every Mother's hope (n daddies too) that their little precious ones are born healthy n normal. As a Mother the 2nd time round, I too hope little Max will be a healthy kicking boy when he's out of my tum tum n stays forever healthy for the rest of his life, that same hope goes out to Little Meia too.

Reading that blog has certainly did some re-wakening within me. Am I really cherishing what I have at the moment? Am I really treasuring my beautiful kids, my wonderful husband, my loving mother, grandmas n my immediate families.... what would I be without them n what how will I react when they have to leave this world? Well, Devastated is the word. Okie, but back to the point.... sometimes I really do think I don't treasure my little Meia, at times I think I'm really a very bad mother.... honest... I feel bad when I scream, scold or shout at her, I imagined myself to be in her shoes n I feel really BAD, bad for my little gal, who really loves me with a pure n innocent heart.... I'm so sorry little one.

With that written, I really need to do some soul searching.... that is to live everyday as if its the last, not to take anything for granted.

No. 2

Let's juz call ah boy - Max for the time being. I've always liked this name n was telling Michael if No. 2 is a boy we'll call him MAX. Short n Sweet!!! Michael came up with a few funny names (well, at least to me, n no offence to whoever having the following names)... Maximillian n Magnus to be one of them.... errrrr the first really sounds like spaghetti to me (infact it reminds me of the Italian guy from Mind Your Language - if u remember the British comedy donkey yrs back)..... Magnus, I think he was watching Gladiator n sms me (I was at my mom's) on what I thought about the name.... will I said No to both.

Matthias is another name worth considering. I like Matthew, but haven't told Michael about it yet. Well, Max still tops my list.

Well, Max has been quite a good n co-operative baby (unlike Meia hahaha) my detailed scan was done much quicker n he was so much ezier to scan. I ate a mentos before I went in n felt him kicking softly. Hahaha guess sweets always works on kids (n even unborn bbs). Okie, so my sweet talk to him worked wonders, not forgetting the loving touches I give to my tum tum heheheh....

Max, I am anxiously waiting for ur arrival, I can't wait for your Elder sis to meet u. Meanwhile, stay healthy n good in mommy's tum tum yah!!! We'll see u soon!

Gender of No. 2

Well, I finally got to know the gender of #2 today n boy was he a show-off!!!! The Sonographer who scanned me informed that bb is a boy... I couldn't believe so when I went down for my checkup with my gynae, I told him to confirm the gender once more....

Me : Dr Tham, can u pls confirm the gender for me, I cannot believe its a boy
Gynae : Sure Sure (Big smiles)
Gynae : Aiyoh so big!!! So obvious its a boy, quite a show off somemore, hahaha
Me : (To hb) ooi, confirm boy liao (hb went in to see for himself, he was so happy he couldn't talk)
Gynae : I'll see u again in 4 weeks time, by then it'll be very clear, n if u buy wrong colour, I'll pay for it!!!

Hahaha so funny!!! Okie, he muz be darn confident to make such a statement. Anyway I saw the bird for myself!!! My show off boy!!!

Oh n errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I know I know, u ppl will hate me for this, but hor NO WEIGHT GAIN!!!!!!

My kids are so lucky

Okie, I often whine about not having a home I could call my own, I don't get to choose the furniture, nor design my ideal kitchen... for those who don't know me, I live with my mother in law. Well, there's nothing scary about that, and I'm glad to say that we share a very good relationship.

Why do I give my post the above title? Well its because my kids will have a garden n a very big space for them to run about. They can get very close to nature (some thing which I like too), get to see Live chickens (no I don't live on a farm), papaya, mango, banana trees etc. They'll get to smell the sweet smelling flowers that MIL grows in the garden. Meia likes the Jasmine very much n every evening wil gather diff flowers to add to her bath water.... see so young already know how to enhance her beauty....

For now, I'm just grateful for everything I have, nevermind I'll never have my dream home etc, I'm just happy that my kids, my family n everyone n everything are close to me.

That's what Meia said this morning when she was climbing the stairs up to the bathroom!!! It really surprised me!!! Tried to make her repeat, but this little cheeky gem simply kept her mouth shut!

Wow!!! Hb's effort didn't come to nought! Well done Meia!

Meia is down with Fever

I thought she acted kinda strange last night n I felt her body... true enough she had fever. I quickly took out my Themo n took her temp... 37.9 deg. Immediately I fed her the fever med n after half an hour her body n head wasn't warm anymore. Put her to bed n she fell asleep so quickly.

Sheesh, just when I thought she has made a full recovery from runny nose, this gotta happen.

Today she's even hotter, at 38.3 deg..... but good thing's she's still very very active. I've my fears n worries though... the Pneumococcal disease... yayaya I'm thinking too much...

Hope her fever goes down soon!!! Mommy n Daddy's wishing u a speedy recovery darling!!!

Happy 19 Months Meia

Today's the day she turns 19 months n boy was she fussy, cranky n clingy the past few days n nites.... well the old folks always say whenever a kid is going into a 'new phase' age, there's sure gonna be some fussing or the kid will fall sick etc etc... after that all will be back to normal. I sure hope so, cos I'm almost suffocating here.........

Neverthless, I still love my little princess very very much n I hope she'll be happy n healthy always.

Nitemares!!!!!!!

Nitemare #1

Dreamt hb drowned (touch wood choy choy choy) n died.... boy that was the saddest day in my life!!! Then suddenly I was back in my old office paying a visit when some silly B**** (pardon my language, but this gal in the dreams was really one) came n bounced on my back despite knowing that I'm pregnant!!! I got so mad I screammed!!! (out loud in real life, lucky I didn't wake anyone)... woke up n touched hb's hand, looked at him then turned to my left n looked at Meia.. ah my two precious gems.... I couldn't sleep so I lied there in between them.

Nitemare #2

This is really STUPID... no more watching TVB drama b4 bedtime.... I dreamt hb took 2 more wives!!!!!! AHHHHHH concubines!!!!!! Gosh!

Nitemare #3

This is really even more DUMB!!! Last night, I dreamt I was being chased by a ghost / monster.... I screamed GOD help!!!!!!!! (errr this also out loud, lucky Meia didn't cry).... sheezh.......... Don't go to bed with an empty tum....

I was so tired....

that I slept with my glasses on last night as soon as Meia hit the sack! All was well till Meia woke up at 3am n refused to sleep till 5am... boy was I tired.

Meia is down with a runny nose

It started last night n stopped at bedtime, but this morning, her nose was leaking like a tap and she was CRANKY!!! + CLINGY!!! guess it was due to lack of sleep. Brought her to the PD this afternoon, even he said her nose was bad, but lucky the mucus coming out was clear. He found no other illnesses when he examined her. Was prescribed with cough n cold med.

Meia kicked up a big fuss on the way home. I guess the medi started to kick in as I added it to her 3pm milk feed. Poor gal, I know she's tired n desperate for sleep, yet can't get a restful sleep. Finally we reached home n she kept crying n crying, kicking up a fuss. I really had to show GREAT patience!!! But at one stage it got really bad, I scolded her.... man.... I'm the world's most GUILTY mom... Yes, I scolded her despite knowing she unwell... I left her lying on the bed for 5 mins while I cool off by sitting down. After that I picked her up n started to hug n soothe her. Meia fell asleep in my arms 10 mins later. I tried to sit down, she cried, kicking her legs, signalling me to stand up n walk.... boy were my legs tired, but no choice. After 10 mins I sat down again, she cried again!!! Oh man!!! Okie, I carried n walked her again. 10 mins later I tried again. This time, she was really tired out by all the crying n she fell asleep in on my shoulders. I put her down on the bed after 15 mins n she requested to hug my arm by lifting her hands... gosh I thought she was already in deep slumber. Guess I was wrong. I hugged her n we both fell asleep.

Dear darling, Mommy didn't mean to shout at u.... I feel so sorry for that. U're sick, n all the more more clingy to me than ever. I'm glad u r ok, except for the leaking nose. I hope u get well soon honey.

Meia is crazy over

...... Watermelons!!!!!!!! the craze started last month during the CNY period. MIL happened to cut for BIL n meia wanted some of it. Now she crys whenever she finishes her portion of watermelons. I gotta get them from the market on alternate days... n meia has them once a day after lunch n as snack (well juz a small portion of the head, which is the sweet part).

She is also getting more independent now. All I have to do now is to hold the bowl, n she'll do self-feeding, well, abit messy but I should say she's doing it very well.

What Meia hugged these few nights

On Monday night she wanted to hug the mini pillow to sleep so I let her....

On Tuesday when I switched off the lights she cried n said book book (its actually the cake brochure from Bengawan). She had caught sight of it b4 lights off n wanted to hold it... so she hugged that to sleep n she held it so tightly I only managed to get it out from her hands after half an hour.

On Wednesday night it was her Barney Towel.... when I tried to free it from her hands when she was half zonk, she said baa baa... n then turned her body away from me n hugged the towel tight... I had to wait another half hour b4 I could get it out.

On Thursday night.... she suddenly decided to hug my FAT ARMS.... awwwwwwwwwwwwwww so sweet then she suddenly edged her body closer to me n said 'mi mi....' (with eyes closed)... then she decided she wanted to place her hand on my shoulder, but machiam too high for her so she settled back with the arms....I was dogged tired last night so we hugged each other to sleep....

Meet up with Emily n Lil Chloe

After changing our minds on the days to meet, we finally decided this is the day!!! I should say this was an adhoc decision n lucky Emily didn't have anything on this afternoon, so we could meet.

Wow Chloe has grown so much n looking very much like her Papa (kekeke). She was pretty shy at first, but guess my 'bribe' (a HK pocky) worked. After lunch n dessert, little Ms Tan quickly held my hands... boy was I honoured!!!

We enjoyed myself very much!!! Never met Emily for such a long time n we had so much catching up to do. Unfortunately, we had to rush home.... sigh.... Time with Emily is never enuff. Although I got to know her in 2002, it seems we were friends for eternity. Guess we have many things in common.

While we were at kiddy palace, Emily's dark red toes suddenly caught Meia's attention, n lil ms kaypoh squatted down n pointed to her toes... hahaha. She had such a fun time running round KP n making a mess out of everything. She even took a basket of lego away from a Kor Kor (who was sitting there playing n gave her the what am I gonna play with now look).... poor kid....

Okie, time for some pix.... I especially like the one with Meia holding Chloe's hands. Err... Fat Arms n Fat face ahead (that's me of course, coz Emily's so slim)...

Have U?

Dunno about you gals, moms n wives out there, but ever since becoming a mom, I've been leaving all the best parts, be it fruit or food to meia n hb. Example, I give them the sweet part of the watermelon (the head n the middle part) while I sapu the tasteless end part. The unsweet part I'll just gobble it down.... I guess this is called Motherhood.... that is why sometimes Mothers are called 'Garbage Bins' hahahaa (no offence)... we'll sapu whatever leftovers the hb n kids can't finish n the best parts (ie fish, meat etc) are all left to them while we lick n suck the juice out of the bones... (hey I like boney parts of fish, chicken n meat)...

Dream

I think I must be thinking or rather worrying about no.2 lately that I dreamt I was scheduled for a checkup last night. In actual fact, my next detailed scan would be in another 2 weeks.

In my dreams, I actually went down to KKH, complete with hb n meia in tow. When I went to register myself, the nurse told me that I wasn't due for my checkup yet and today's the 13th (my checkups are always held of Tuesdays). I was pretty frustrated by the nurse n shoved my appointment book right into her face n said 'see, the date written here clearly states 13th.... ' the only thing I remembered before waking up was the nurse calling up my gynae.....

Such a coincidence!!! I woke up this morning n suddenly realised, hey!!! its the 13th today, hahaha but no checkup lah.....

Silly me.

Little Meia

Its really such a joy to watch Meia playing around. Her current fav is hide n seek. She'll either run to her three fold mattress, hide there n say 'Baby baby.... theh we'll pretend to go find her n when she sees us coming she'll say 'Bah!!!' n let out a giggly laugh, oh music to my ears!!!!!! either that she loves playing with the curtains. These days when I go to market in the morning, I'll bring Meia to the playground if its not too hot. Today she surprised me - my little gal no long needs anyone to hold her when she sits n play the slide (the short one). She had such a fun time this morning n didn't want to go home. My little darling has a mind of her own now!!!

... 26 more days to go before I get to see my little no. 2 again... this time I'll be going for my detailed scan.

I'm praying that little one is growing well in my tum despite my poor appetite.

AWWWW

I can't say that Meia is all bad... she does have her good points too... juz a couple of minutes ago I told her to keep all her 7 balloons into the box n get ready for her nap. I was reading something on the net, n when I turned around, I saw to my joy that she has returned all her balloons to the box immediately n very nicely too!!!!!! Yeah I'm so proud of my little gem!!!

Naturally I rewarded her with her fav fruit gummy!!! n was greeted by a very toothy grin :)
